Church Serve - NeighbourLink provides help in areas such as basic cleaning, laundry and simple food preparation for those whose health or disability limits these activities in daily life. Emphasis beyond the congregation is on families and the under 65-year-old population in the community. Referrals come from Community Care programs, the medical community, social agencies, churches, and the community at large. Coordinators and/or Parishes Nurses conduct home visits to assess client needs and resources and determine urgency. We also partner with local food banks to deliver hampers to those with limited access to the food bank due to health issues or financial constraints. Christian volunteers find purpose and meaning as they serve beyond the walls of the church. Families, couples, parents and teens, or small groups can serve together. Denominations and churches are working together. Relationships are being built, hope is being restored and lives are being changed, for everyone involved!
