Tasks: With a partner, assist an individual or family with basic cleaning, food preparation, or laundry. Clients: Usually under 65 with chronic illness or disability. Time Commitment: 4 hours a month, at times convenient to both the client and volunteers. Minimum 3-month time commitment requested. Location: Kelowna, Westbank, Peachland, Lake Country, or Vernon. Skills/Experience: Compassion, listening skills, some cleaning/organizational skills. Additional Requirements: Non-judgemental, servant heart. All volunteers are required to undergo an RCMP records check, and complete a 3 hour orientation session.
