Tasks: Help an individual or family with a cleaning or organizational blitz. Blitz volunteers work in teams of 4 - 6 people. Ideal for small groups. Clients: Individuals under 65 with chronic illness and/or disability. Individuals or families that have been overwhelmed, and require additional help before they can be helped by regular Energetic Hands volunteers. Time Commitment: Flexible 2-3 hour assignments. Times depend on volunteer availability. Ideal for those who would like to serve on an occasional or periodic basis, but who are unable to commit to a consistent schedule. Location: Kelowna, Vernon, Lake Country, Westbank, Peachland. Skills/Experience: Able-bodied, not allergic to dust, smoke, or pets. Additional Requirements: Compassionate, non-judgemental, servant heart. Enjoys seeing the transformation of one's living space in a short period of time. At least one volunteer per team is required to undergo an RCMP records check, and complete a 3 hour orientation session.
